We already know when the new season of “The Witcher” starts (and you can see the trailer)
The announcement was made at an online conference.
Geralt de Rivia returns on December 17th.
In 2019, the first season of “The Witcher” appeared on Netflix (and the success was instantaneous). Now fans of Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill) can celebrate: We already know when the new season will open.
The novelty was revealed during the online convention of this universe – WitcherCon. Fans of this magical (but scary) world can start the second season on December 17, 2021. Along with the announcement came the first trailer for the new chapter.
The teaser makes us realize that we can wait for Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) to return to confirm that she is still alive contrary to what some might think. Netflix also reveals that some of the action will take place in Geralt’s castle.
Like many other Hollywood productions, the new season of “The Witcher” was finally postponed due to the pandemic. Production of the second season ended in April 2021, more than a year after it began.
“The Witcher” follows Geralt de Rivia, a monster hunter who seeks his fate in a world where people are more evil than the creatures he kills. The new season will have eight episodes. An expansion of this universe is also planned, with an animated film and a series set 1200 years before the events of the original project.
