Vivo will be launching its first foldable smartphone on April 11

GSMArena says Vivo will be launching its first foldable smartphone, called the Vivo X Fold, on April 11 in China. This is the date that GSMArena says Vivo is going to launch the phone. A video the company posted on Weibo shows a phone that looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy Fold3 and the Oppo Find N. People haven’t heard about the phone coming out anywhere else.

The Vivo X Fold, like other phones before it, will have a second screen on the outside that can be used when the main screen is folded into the device’s body.

There will be a hole-punch cutout on the phone’s main screen for a selfie camera. The back of the camera’s chassis has a rectangular camera block with a quad-camera array arranged in a circle. The flash is outside of the circle on the camera block.

Earlier, a Twitter user named Digital Chat Station had said that the foldable device could have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and up to 12GB of RAM. It could also have up to 256GB of onboard storage.

People also say that the device will have a quad-camera system on the back. It is thought to have a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide lens, an 8MP periscope lens with 5X zoom, and a 12MP portrait lens on the back. The second screen could be a 6.5-inch OLED screen.

A report from Gizmochina says Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo X Fold has an AMOLED screen that can be folded. It has a 2k+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. According to the report, the phone could also have a 4,600 mAh battery that can be charged at 80W and 50W wirelessly.
