There is already a trailer for the new film about Ted Bundy, one of the greatest serial killers of all time
“No Man of God” hits cinemas on August 27th and deals with the relationship between the criminal and Bill Hagmaier, whom he confessed to the crimes.
The relationship between them was quite complex.
Ted Bundy’s crimes are among the best-documented in popular culture, with documentaries like Conversations With a Killer: Ted Bundy’s Recordings and films like Extremely Perverse, Scandalously Cruel and Vile starring Zac Efron. The serial killer is portrayed again, this time in a film starring Elijah Wood, who plays an FBI agent.
“No Man of God” will focus on the relationship between Bundy and FBI agent Bill Hagmaier, whom he confessed to the crimes on death row. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly magazine, the project’s producer explains: “Although Bill is a very religious person, a very good and honorable person, he had to befriend Bundy to be close enough to confess it can do the crime. And he did it ”.
To keep the film as true to the story between Ted and Bill as possible, the FBI agent himself helped develop the script and explained how the conversations with the killer had gone.
The trailer reveals that the film not only addresses the confession, but also the whole process, difficulties and manipulations of Bundy. So far we only had pictures of the project without knowing a release date. However, the producer of “No Man of God” has already confirmed that it will hit theaters on August 27th. Luke Kirby will play the relentless and infamous killer.
