The test events in Portugal are progressing – the first will take place in Braga with 400 people

They will take place at the end of April.
It was a proposal that had been discussed by the cultural and large event industry for several months – and the formula of which has already been tested several times in other countries. This Thursday, April 22nd, the Minister of Culture Graça Fonseca confirmed in an interview with SIC that the test events will even progress.
They will take place in Braga on April 29th and 30th and will serve as a rehearsal for the resumption of great shows and events. Each of the two test events will receive approximately 400 people – one with the audience seated and the other with the audience standing.
“Our commitment is to open cultural events at the end and work from here to figure out the conditions for progress so that we can attend live events. Of course, always in line with the development of the pandemic, ”explained Graça Fonseca.
“It is important that we conduct these test events. Other countries have done it. Our neighbor Spain did it. This is important because at these test events one sits and the other stands, the Directorate General for Health can then make an assessment of the people who were at these events, ”he added the Minister of Culture.
Some of the biggest music festivals in Portugal scheduled for the summer have not yet postponed or canceled their editions this year. Now they depend on the success of these test events, even though they may be forced to make a lot of adjustments.
