The Boom Festival has been postponed again due to the pandemic – it will not take place until 2022
To compensate, the next edition promises to be something big, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the festival.
It will be July 22-29.
It’s not yet this year that festival-goers can return to the boom. After last year’s edition was canceled due to the pandemic and postponed to 2021, the festival has now been postponed again. According to the organization, this will now happen in July next year.
The next edition of the festival is therefore planned for the period from July 22nd to 29th, 2022. In this way, it coincides with the year Boom celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first edition. “Due to the pandemic, we didn’t celebrate together again in summer 2021. But the community comes together for something unique: the 25th birthday party, a quarter of a century Boom Festival on Earth in 2022, ”the organization said on the festival website.
In the same statement, the organization highlights the efforts that have already been made in 2021 to ensure that the festival can take place this year. However, given the current context, it was not possible to organize an event under certain conditions. The meeting is therefore planned for next summer.
The event, which took place every two years in Idanha-a-Nova before the pandemic, was therefore forced to revisit plans due to the pandemic. Those who bought the tickets for 2020 or 2021 can keep them, which continues to guarantee entry into the next year’s edition.
