Oscar nominees cannot attend the ceremony through Zoom
The organization has published a number of rules that must be followed. Dress code considerations were also given.
The ceremony will be personal and with many tests.
Unlike recent cinema and music awards, there won’t be any awards through Zoom in the next edition of the Oscars. The organization shared a document with the various nominees saying that everything will be done to make the ceremony a safe event.
Regarding the delivery of prizes, it has been said that it will either be in person or will stay at the academy and be delivered later. Using video calling platforms is not an option. “We will do everything we can to ensure a comfortable and safe night. We want millions of moviegoers around the world to be able to have it too, and we believe a virtual ceremony would compromise those efforts, ”read the letter to which“ Deadline ”had access.
Entry to the stage of the ceremony takes place through a rapid test for Covid-19, to which the actors were already used in the last year of the recordings, where this was a constant in the various works.
The document also relates to the clothes they must bring. “Our goal is a fusion of inspiration and aspiration, which means that it can be done in a formal but never casual register,” it says.
The organization will meet with all guests and be nominated 90 minutes before the event to provide further guidance before the gala begins.
The 93rd Academy Awards are scheduled for April 25th and will take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, USA. “Mank”, “The Father”, “Sound of Metal”, “The Chicago 7”, “Nomadland”, “Judas and the Black Messiah”, “Minari” and “A Girl with Potential” are among the nominated films in more Categories.
