Goodbye, Peaky Blinders: The next season will be the last
However, the show’s creator says that the story has room to continue in any way.
Say goodbye to the Shelby.
It is official. This Monday, January 18th, the BBC announced that the next season of Peaky Blinders, the sixth in the series, would be the last. In statements to Variety magazine, the production’s creator, Steven Knight, said the story “will go on in a different way,” which may mean a spin-off is coming.
“’Peaky Blinders’ is back and in full swing. After the production delay forced by the Covid-19 pandemic, we found the family in enormous danger and the bar has never been higher. We believe this will be the best season of all and we are sure that our incredible fans will love it. As the television series draws to a close, the story continues in a different way, ”wrote Knight.
The recording of the last episodes started in the last few days. If all goes well, season six could premiere in the UK in late 2021 or early 2022. In Portugal, the production is available on Netflix, but only arrives on the streaming platform a few months after being broadcast by the BBC.
