DAMA and Bárbara Bandeira give free concerts at a festival in Aveiro
The event will be divided into two stages, on which not only well-known artists will perform, but also emerging musicians.
Bárbara Bandeira will perform on July 18th.
Bárbara Bandeira, DAMA, Gisela João and Tiago Bettencourt: these are just some of the national artists you can see at this year’s Festival dos Canals in Aveiro. But the event doesn’t stop there and also brings you exhibitions, dance and even circus shows. Everything with free entry.
The Festival dos Canals is split into two weekends starting on July 15th and ending on the 25th of the same month. The concerts take place on two different stages: the main stage at Praça Marquês de Pombal; and the stage of the ATLAS Aveiro staircase.
Some of the major names in national music will perform on the main stage. At the opening of the event you can attend a concert by Tiago Bettencourt. The Black Mamba will take to the stage on the 16th, a few months after their visit to Rotterdam, where they represented Portugal at Eurovision. The next day you can expect a concert by Gisela João, the first weekend will be closed by Bárbara Bandeira.
At the beginning of the following weekend, which begins on July 23, the band Troll’s Toy from Aveiro can be heard, accompanied by the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras. Mataya Agir joins on July 24th. On the last day of the Festival dos Canals, the musical performance will be performed on the main stage of DAMA, all of which start at 6:30 p.m.
Several emerging artists will perform on the stage of the Escadaria of ATLAS Aveiro: Bia Maria (15), Navega (16), The Twist Connection (17), LaBaq (18), Lobo Mau (23), Curt Davis (24) and Cabrita (25). The concerts begin on this stage at 5 p.m.
Due to the rules in the fight against the pandemic, seats at the festival are limited, so you have to collect your ticket on the same day (until 5 p.m.) to visit all the concerts and other attractions. On the official page you can find all the presentations that will take place at the festival.
