It was for this reason that an online petition was launched this Sunday, November 29th, with the aim of bringing the subject to the Assembly of the Republic.
“Because without forms of regulation, without the exercise of regulation, summarizing judgments and free aggression on the Internet will continue to multiply with impunity. This slander of extreme violence – that type of crime! – it cannot go on, ”says the petition. At the time of this writing, it had more than 35,600 signatures.
“The Internet has opened up extraordinary opportunities that I and many of us have benefited from, publicly and privately. But it’s still a lawless area, ”he continues. “Instead of what they do on the street, supposed citizens are practicing on the Internet what criminal law forbids: they defame, insult, persecute and even disrupt private life. Without being punished. “
Cristina Ferreira’s new book was published on November 20th. The aim was to bring the topic of cyberbullying, free violence on the internet and in social networks, the aim of which is also to the public discussion. “Pra Cima de Puta” is published by Contraponto.
