Corona rules have been relaxed for vaccinated and convalescing people | Free press

More and more people are being vaccinated against Corona. In the future, there will be far fewer rules for it in daily life. However, the masks do not hit those inoculated and those who recovered from Corona so quickly.

Berlin (dpa) – Pandemic rules are being relaxed for those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered from Corona.

A day after the Bundestag, the corresponding ordinance was also adopted by the Bundesrat on Friday. If it gets published in the Federal Law Gazette soon now, the easing could apply as early as the weekend.

According to the regulation, contact and exit restrictions for those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered no longer apply. They are not counted when meeting other people. For example, in regions with a high number of infections, two unvaccinated people could meet an unlimited number of vaccinated people. Vaccinated people no longer have to take a test in shops or at the hairdresser.

There are also no evening travel restrictions for either group; after a trip or after contact with infected people, they usually no longer need to be quarantined – unless you are infected with a virus variant that is not yet widespread in Germany or if you are traveling from a virus variant area. Vaccinated and convalescents must also wear masks and follow distance rules in certain places and in buildings.

Minister of Justice Christine Lambrecht (SPD) emphasized in the Bundestag on Thursday that the rule of law must apply especially in times of crisis. Fundamental rights could be restricted to protect life and health and to ensure the functioning of the health system. Because according to the scientific expertise of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) vaccinated and convalescing people could at least infect other people to a significantly lesser extent, the rationale for fundamental rights restrictions no longer applies.

NRW Prime Minister Armin Laschet (CDU) urged vaccinees to “deal responsibly with their own happiness”. To avoid frustration and envy in those who cannot yet be vaccinated, don’t act too exuberantly.
