Berlin (dpa) – After the plagiarism allegations against the Green Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock, her book is now provided with sources. Ullstein publishing house spokeswoman Christine Heinrich confirmed a corresponding “image” report to the German news agency.

“In consultation with the author, we will add additional sources to the book in a possible next edition and as soon as possible in the e-book,” said the spokeswoman. This corresponds in principle to the standards for subsequent editions and takes place for reasons of transparency “regardless of the legally permitted transfer of passages from the public domain”.

Baerbock takes the criticism seriously

Baerbock is accused in the book “Now. How We Renew Our Country » Taking unmarked text passages from other publications.

In the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” she admitted mistakes on Thursday. “In retrospect, it would certainly have been better if I had worked with a source list,” she tells the newspaper.
